What it is
The Sunpura S4800 AC is the 4.8 kWh AC-coupled model: it adds larger storage and backup to a home that already has solar. Instead of connecting panels directly, it couples onto your existing solar and inverter over AC, so there is no rewiring of the array. A dual-CT meter reads your existing inverter, giving the system a complete picture of what your home produces and uses.
More storage for a home that already has solar
Where the S2400 AC adds a compact 2.4 kWh, the S4800 AC doubles it to 4.8 kWh, enough to carry a typical home through the evening and overnight, or to hold a larger backup reserve. It stacks and expands to 14.4 kWh as your needs grow.
